On stardate 47566.2, Sito volunteered for a hazardous covert mission in which she accompanied Joret Dal, a Cardassian operative for the Federation, as he returned to Cardassian space. She posed as a Bajoran terrorist captured by Dal, posing as a bounty hunter. Sito was believed killed in an evacuation pod as she attempted to return to Federation space. She was, in fact, imprisoned in a Cardassian penal colony. In 2372, Sito was returned to the Federation as a result of a prisoner exchange with the Cardassians and assumed duty aboard the U.S.S. Norway on ops duty.
